Before we get started, it is important to note that I work remotely (from home) 97.999% of the time. With a household of 7 including myself, fast Internet and a reliable home network are absolutely crucial.

A sedentary lifestyle for software developers, characterized by prolonged sitting while coding, can lead to health issues like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and obesity, along with mental health problems and reduced productivity. To combat this, developers can incorporate regular exercise, stretching, and breaks into their daily routine, and consider using standing desks and/or walking pads. After a quarter of a century sitting at a crappy desk in a crappy chair, I have finally committed to make different lifestyle choices during my workday.
